Ranking the 15 Best Offensive Playbooks in EA Sports College Football 25

With 134 playbooks in the new EA Sports College Football 25, there are so many different ways to play offense, but which one is the best? Lets rank the 15 best offensive playbooks in the game.

There are so many ways to play offense in EA Sports College Football 25: Spread, Air Raid, pistol, pro-style, triple option, veer and shoot, etc.; the list goes on and on, while the possibilities are endless. Finding the perfect offense that fits your style is very important to winning more games.

Let’s rank the 15 best offensive playbooks in EA Sports College Football 25.

Top 15 Offensive Playbooks in EA Sports College Football 25

    15) Kansas State Wildcats

A mobile quarterback is required for this playbook, which is loaded with quarterback-designed runs and read option-type plays. This makes sense, given that the playbook is designed around quarterback Avery Johnson, who boasts an 88 speed and 93 acceleration in the game.

    14) Tennessee Volunteers

This playbook has all the college-specific “Wide Formations,” where the receivers are lined up extremely wide outside the numbers, which allows you to attack the defense horizontally and spread them out. This playbook gives that authentic, college offensive feel in College Football 25.

Check out the formations “Wide Stack” and “Wide Bunch.”

    13) Air Force Falcons

Who doesn’t love a little Flexbone action? The Flexbone is super fun to run in the new game and is actually pretty effective. You definitely need a mobile quarterback for this also because of all the option type plays. The “FB Toss” and “Rocket Toss” are two of my favorites.

Also check out the “Pistol Empty Tight Stack” formation.

    12) Stanford Cardinal

Stanford’s playbook is very balanced in College Football 25 and has a good mix of pass and run. Formations like “Gun Bunch HB Str” and “Gun Tight Y Off” are very good for airing the ball out. Don’t be afraid to get the big boys in and pound the rock in the “Split T Tight” formation with plays like “HB Lead” and “DIY Toss Reverse.”

    11) Texas State Bobcats

The Bobcat’s offense is built strictly to throw the pigskin around as there are 20 shotgun formations. It has some of the “Wide” formations that we mentioned earlier to give that spread offense vibe while also offering some compressed sets like Bunch and Tight.

    10) Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Brand new “RPO Walk” plays are found only in this playbook and make for easier decisions when playing offense. They operate basically as slower-developing RPOs, so it’s easier to make the right read. There are usually a few options on the play to really keep the defense guessing.

Try these out in practice mode to understand how they work.

    9) Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverine’s playbook utilizes a more pro-style approach with all the different styles of formations it has. It ranges from the I formation to the Strong I, the Pistol, and many Shotguns. You can really diversify your play calling with this offense. “I Form Close” and “Gun Bunch X Nasty” are two of my favorites.

    8) Spread Option Alternate Offense

One of the 10 alternate offensive playbooks in the game, the spread option book, is my second favorite. A mobile quarterback is king here, as all the formations are loaded with quarterback-designed runs and options. Spacing is important in this offense, and it has a lot of motion-type swing passes as well.

This playbook can be a lot of fun and really resembles the fast-paced spread offenses we see on Saturdays.

    7) Kentucky Wildcats

Any under-center singleback lovers out there?

The Wildcats playbook has the best Singleback formations in the game and is great for running the rock.

Using a team with a good running back is important within this offense. Formations like “Ace Close”, “Deuce Close”, “Doubles North”, and “Tight Slots” are unique and can separate you from the rest.

    6) Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Oklahoma State playbook possesses maybe the best passing formation in the game: “Shotgun Bunch HB Str.” Many of the pro-competitive players in the community have been using this with great success.

Plays like “Z Spot,” “Durham,” and “Drive” are all very efficient and attack different areas of the field.

    5) Multiple Alternate Offense

The “Multiple” offensive playbook works exactly as it sounds. It has a multitude of different formations and plays to keep your opponent off guard. A good mix of running and passing, the playbook ranges from “I Formation”, “Singleback”, “Pistol”, “Shotgun”, and even “Wishbone”.

This playbook has everything you can think of. The Shotgun “Trips TE” and “Bunch” formations are extremely effective.

    4) Oregon Ducks

Every good “Shotgun” formation in the game, plus a great wildcat? Sign me up. The Duck’s playbook is one of the best if you want to play that spread, air-it-out, hurry-up-no-huddle type of offense. RPOs and screens are also a staple of this offense. Don’t forget about the “Wildcat” formations as well, with plays like “HB Wrap” and “Blast” to gain easy yardage.

    3) Georgia Bulldogs

Similar to the Oklahoma State playbook, Georgia has a formation called “Shotgun Cluster HB Str” that has gained a lot of attention in the Madden community. Compressed and bunch formations have always been superior in EA Sports Madden NFL and NCAA Football games of the past and the same can be said for College Football 25.

    2) Arizona Wildcats

By far, the Arizona playbook is the most fun in the entire game. Trick plays galore! Reverses, reverse passes, running back direct snaps, and double passes just to name a few. Not to mention, it has maybe the best trips formations in the game. This playbook is a must try for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players of College Football 25.

    1) UNLV Rebels

The Rebel’s playbook has an array of amazing formations that can beat every defense. It is the only playbook in the game with the “Split Backs Flex Close” and “Shotgun Duo” formations.

The “Load Option” plays may be the best option plays in the game. UNLV also possesses the ever-so-popular “Cluster HB Str” formation as well. There’s such an exceptional mix of good passing and running plays in this playbook, which gives it the No. 1 spot for best playbook in EA Sports College Football 25.
