After a promising start to the preseason, Shilo Sanders, son of NFL legend and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, was cut from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This led to many speculating where he might end up in next.
Betting site Hard Rock Bet jokingly posted several possible landing spots including the New Orleans Saints, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Denver Broncos, the Tampa Buccaneers again, and the grocery and pharmacy chain, Publix.

This soon led to some commenters joking on where the former Colorado Buffaloes standout might end up in, with many believing he might go into unemployment or Publix.
“His daddy’s couch,” one person joked.
“They gonna retire his work apron at Publix after week one,” another person added.
“this guy was undrafted but is getting more coverage than number 1 overall pick QB Cameron Ward,” one person pointed out.
“as a steeler fan, i speak for Steeler Nation when i say we don’t want him or his daddy’s drama,” noted one Pittsburgh fan.
“We don’t have Publix in Colorado… we have King Soopers. Don’t be silly, Big Daddy D will get him on the sideline coaching,” another person theorized.
“Let’s bash all the people that work at Publix because it’s such a bad career to have.. so we can make a non funny joke about a famous kid who is a millionaire 👏👏👏👏,” said another commenter.
Shilo Sanders was released shortly after the rookie safety punched Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson. The Bills player was blocking him and this soon led to the two pushing and shoving one another, which led to the punch. Then-teammate and linebacker John Bullock tried to calm him down soon after.

Shilo Sanders Throwing Punch at Bills TE May Have Sealed His Fate
Before that fateful game against the Buffalo Bills, which the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 23-19, Shilo Sanders was in a competition for the fourth and final safety spot in the team’s roster. He was competing against Kaevon Merriweather and Rashad Wisdom for that final spot, and that one single infraction led to him losing that chance.
After the game, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles admitted that Sanders’ actions were “inexcusable” and added that Shilo has “got to grow from that.”
It was an overall bad performance for the former Colorado star, as he was also flagged for a pass interference call during the first quarter in addition to being ejected after trying to punch an opponent.
