Tyler Warren has been one of the cornerstones of the Penn State Nittany Lions offense for nearly as long as he’s been with the school. Warren, who started at Penn State in 2020, played his entire five-year college career with the Nittany Lions. While Warren has had solid seasons, nothing compares to his final year with Penn State in 2024.
Warren finished the year playing and starting in all 16 games. He recorded 1,233 yards, 104 receptions, and eight touchdowns—all career highs. Warren’s stock is at an all-time high, and he’s predicted to land with a young, exciting NFC offense.

Penn State’s Tyler Warren Predicted to be Selected by Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are entering the 2025 NFL Draft with an “offensive” vision. They know they have their quarterback of the future in Caleb Williams; now it’s time to build around him. This includes strengthening the running back, offensive line, wide receiver, and tight end positions.
The tight end position is sometimes overlooked, but the difference between a good tight end and a bad one can change an NFL offense. Chicago, despite having good tight ends in the past, has yet to find its franchise tight end. That could change with the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
Cole Kmet is a solid tight end, but it’s fair to say he hasn’t become the player that Bears fans and NFL personnel hoped for. The comparisons to Rob Gronkowski certainly didn’t pan out. This adds to why NFL analyst Jordan Reid suggested the Bears should seriously consider drafting Warren if he’s available.
“Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State. The Bears’ offense should run plenty of 12 personnel, so adding the best tight end in the class to pair with Cole Kmet makes sense,” Reid wrote. “Warren’s receiving skills and blocking prowess would provide a versatile playmaker for quarterback Caleb Williams and new coach Ben Johnson.”
Warren finished his college career with 153 receptions, 1,839 yards, and 19 touchdowns. Most of his production came last season when he totaled more yards than in the previous three seasons combined.
It remains to be seen what the Bears will do with their No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, if Warren is still available, he should undoubtedly be seriously considered by the Bears. He’ll bring plenty of positives wherever he goes—not only as a pass catcher but also as a blocker.
