The Penn State Nittany Lions have one of the more experienced teams returning this season.
Now, the only question is whether or not they are ready to go win a title.

James Franklin’s Veteran Core and Returning Starters Are Poised to Power Penn State’s Playoff Push
The folks on the Blue White podcast recently chatted about the Nittany Lions and their goals ahead of the season.
Thomas Frank Carr, Nate Bauer, and Sean Fitz had this to say about how good the team can be this Fall because of how they have built up the roster:
“We’re comparing different models. Ohio State going one way. Michigan going with retention and development…I think Penn State’s (developed) really well.”
The good news for the Nittany Lions and their fans is that the team has plenty of experience. That experience starts at quarterback with veteran Drew Allar, along with 1,000-yard running backs Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton.
Can Penn State Surpass Michigan and Ohio State?
Ohio State won the national title last season after an incredible late-season run thanks to the play of former quarterback Will Howard. So, they are one of the teams that are standing in the way of Penn State.
Michigan could be another team in their way, despite posting an 8-5 overall record last year. The Wolverines, as evidenced by their title run two seasons ago, is one of the better developed teams in the country.
Other possible teams like Oregon, Indiana, and Washington could be dark horses in the Big Ten this year.
All Penn State can focus on is what is in front of them. Can they find a way to get to 10 or 11 wins and earn the right to go to the College Football Playoff this year? Judging by what they did last year, it is very possible. Plus, James Franklin has been banging on the door of a national title run for a long time in State College.

With the veteran group that he will have in place this season, now seems as good a time as any to go bring home both a Big Ten title and a national title.
