Bill Belichick may be considered one of the greatest football coaches in history, but not everybody is happy with him at his new workplace in North Carolina these days. There is much drama surrounding the six-time Super Bowl winner, as his taking over the coaching job at UNC has taken a backseat to his 48-year age gap with girlfriend Jordon Hudson.
The drama of the 72-year-old dating the 23-year-old Hudson has overshadowed Belichick’s offseason moves, as well as the fact that he, an NFL all-time coach, will be transitioning to college football. This even has ESPN insider Paul Finebaum weighing in on the drama.
During his appearance on ESPN’s “First Take,” Finebaum addressed the Belichick and Jordon Hudson college football drama taking centre stage at North Carolina instead of UNC’s chances of winning a national championship.
“Also, uh there’s Bill Belichick. Anybody heard of this guy? He’s only the most famous NFL coach of all time this side of Vince Lombardi, but lately he’s played second fiddle to his girlfriend. And I can’t believe I’m actually saying that, but I am. And that is a story that really is intriguing everyone.”
Finabaum did admit that Belichick has done well on the recruiting end at Chapel Hill, but again, these moves were not covered by the media as much as the drama surrounding him and his much younger girlfriend.
Hudson, a former beauty pageant contestant, has been caught up in various feuds with people who were close to Belichick, including his ex, Linda Holliday. It was Holliday who reportedly called Hudson a “gold digger,” accusing the former beauty queen of only dating the millionaire football legend for his money.

Bill Belichick’s Relationship With Jordon Hudson Turning Into a Public Relations Problem For Him
Despite all the controversies and complaints from UNC staff and alums, Belichick has stuck with Jordon Hudson, with the two spending the summer together often. However, this has now turned into a PR nightmare for the former New England Patriots coach.
Alumni donors and faculty have reportedly been sending angry emails to the university and demanding that they should let Belichick go, with one alum reportedly saying that this whole controversy is an “embarrassment” before promising to withdraw all donations from the school.
Leaked emails, originally obtained by The Daily Mail, also indicated that staff were concerned about the unwanted attention being given to the program from Belichick’s relationship, while others pointed out the concerns about Hudson turning the school into a circus.
