The final bracket for the College Football Playoffs has now been revealed, and the biggest and most glaring snub seems to be Notre Dame. As expected, many fans of the Fighting Irish did not take this snub very well, with many questioning why five SEC teams, including the three-loss Alabama Crimson Tide, made it. Because of the backlash, ESPN analyst and SEC loyalist Paul Finebaum weighed in.
Finebaum, who is very vocal about his support for the SEC, has been feuding with fans from other conferences, including Notre Dame fans. He claimed that the Fighting Irish have one of the worst fan bases in the US right now and that they should just “shut up already.”

However, fans were not having it, even those who are not pro-Notre Dame.
“Not a Notre Dame fan, but who gives a f*ck about what this guy says.” said one college football fan.
“When you’re on the side of Paul Finebaum, you gotta re-evaluate your life.,” said another person
“I don’t care what Mr. Burns from the Simpsons thinks. Never have. Never will.,” noted one Fighting Irish fan.
“Paul, Miami didn’t win their conference. Duke did. Why not Duke if you’re talking about conference? You’re just an SEC guy and the SEC and ESPN are all in on this. ND destroyed ArK an SEC school. No other Zsrc Team did that. ND crush a P5 conference school by over 70 pts.” one person pointed out.
“He’s a complete SEC tool. Always has been. Always will be one. I understand his paychecks are signed by the the people who own the SEC broadcasting rights, but he should still have at least have one iota of fairness in him.,” another fan added.
“But Alabama fans can bitch and moan …. Never mind Beyond tired of SEC bias…” said another.

CFP Chair Explains Why Notre Dame Did Not Make College Football Playoff
The decision to drop Notre Dame in favor of teams like Miami and Alabama fell in the hands of the CFP committee, and insider Pete Thamel revealed that CFP Chair Hunter Yurachek had already revealed the reason why they chose these schools over the Fighting Irish.
“Once we moved Miami ahead of BYU, we had that side-by-side comparison (with ND) that everyone had been hungering for,” the CFP chair said. “The one metric we had to fall back on was the head-to-head.”
Yurachek also noted that the resumes of Notre Dame and Miami were “almost equal,” but they still went for Miami and snubbed the Fighting Irish.
