Former Ole Miss Rebels coach and newly appointed LSU Tigers tactician Lane Kiffin has urged Olivia Dunne to react to his move on social media. On Sunday, Nov. 30, Kiffin announced on his X/Twitter account that with a heavy heart, he is moving to the Tigers program to be their new coach. LSU is one of the rival teams of his former squad.
Joining the several onlookers to react to the conference-altering development is the former LSU gymnastics star, Dunne. The 23-year-old took to her Instagram story to repost an upload by @lsufootball, confirming that Kiffin is indeed now a part of the Tigers program. Dunne added a two-word reaction that alludes to a traditional LSU chant in celebration of Kiffin’s move.
“Geaux Tigers,” Dunne wrote.

Perhaps the reasoning behind Dunne’s use of the post by the official LSU football Instagram page is that it serves as a formal announcement that Kiffin is now part of their program. Nevertheless, the 50-year-old comes into LSU after his six-year run at Ole Miss. So far in the 2025 season, as most teams conclude their regular seasons, Kiffin leaves the Rebels with an overall 11-1 record (7-1 in the SEC).
Kiffin will now be tasked at the helm of the Tigers to replace interim coach Frank Wilson, who has been calling the shots for the team since former LSU main shot-caller Brian Kelly parted ways with the squad back in October of this year. Kiffin’s final game as the Rebels coach came with their 19-point victory, 38-19, over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 12 on Friday, Nov. 28.
Meanwhile, Dunne enjoyed a stellar five-year run with LSU gymnastics from 2020 to 2025. She garnered several accolades in the SEC, culminating in a gold medal at the 2024 NCAA tournament in Fort Worth. Since then, she has shifted to modelling, content creation, and being an influencer.

The Ole Miss Rebels Overcame The LSU Tigers Previously In The 2025 Season
To add more surprise to the move, Lane Kiffin’s departure from the Ole Miss Rebels and arrival at the LSU Tigers comes after the Rebels had defeated the Tigers, coached by Brian Kelly at the time, previously in the 2025 college football season.
The game took place in Week 5, as Ole Miss defeated LSU by five points, 24-19, on Sept. 27.
