The 2026 recruiting scene is at its peak, with top players unveiling their preferred schools seemingly every week. Four-star OL prospect Felix Ojo recently announced his top eight schools, which include Sherrone Moore’s Michigan Wolverines, among several other SEC and Big Ten powers.
The selection leans towards the SEC, with five of the eight schools coming from this powerhouse conference. While the Wolverines have a spot on Ojo’s radar, they’ve got some fierce competition, especially from Texas. But Ojo claims he has his sights set on Ann Arbor, MI.

Why Did Felix Ojo Choose Michigan as a Top Pick?
EJ Holland, Michigan recruiting insider for On3, shared on X why Ojo has his sights on the Wolverines. The reason? Their consistently top-prioritized offensive line.
“Michigan made my Top 8 because of their offensive line development,” the prospect said of the 2023 national champions.

Michigan’s head coach, Sherrone Moore, has always prioritized offensive linemen in recruiting, especially to protect Michigan’s investment in QB Bryce Underwood. The Wolverines have brought in some of the nation’s best to support him, including OL prospects, five-star Andrew Babalola, and four-star Ty Haywood.
But it doesn’t stop there. They’ve secured four-star Avery Gach and three-star local talent Kaden Strayhorn. Gach is expected to compete for an interior spot in a few years, while Strayhorn, with his NFL pedigree, can potentially exceed his ranking.
Michigan has two commitments in the 2026 cycle but is still in the run for several top players, including the 274-pound powerhouse Ojo.
The four-star OL is among the hottest names in the 2026 class. His recruitment is blazing hot, with his top eight filled with SEC powerhouses.
Although Moore’s Wolverines are in contention, a burnt-orange obstacle looms. Yes, Texas is making a strong push, and Ojo is certainly taking notice.

Ojo, ranked as the fifth-best offensive tackle in the 2026 class, is leaning toward the Longhorns.
“What sets Texas apart is the relationships I’ve built with the entire offensive staff and even Coach Sark,” Ojo revealed about the Longhorns’ program.
Securing him would be a victory for Texas and a tough blow for Michigan. However, knowing Moore, he’ll not back down from the challenge. Not yet at least.
