Former Ohio State star quarterback Will Howard has had an outstanding year. He helped lead the Iowa State Buckeyes to the national championship in January and now he is preparing for his first NFL season with Pittsburgh Steelers. For all of his success on the field, he is equally successful off of it, having had a strong support system for years.
On Saturday, Howard’s girlfriend, Skyler Skoglund, posted a few photos on Instagram of her wearing a glamorous country outfit.

It has been a big year for Will Howard with winning a national championship and getting drafted into the NFL. His girlfriend, Skyler, has been by his side the entire way. After Howard won the national championship in January, he went to the sidelines to give Skyler a kiss. The moment was captured in a photo and posted by Skyler who included a two-word caption.

Another big moment came when Will Howard was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in April. This time, Skoglund included a longer caption, which showed her love and appreciation for all the hard work Howard has put into his career.
“This moment wasn’t luck — it’s years of unseen battles, silent prayers, and unbreakable belief. Proud is an understatement. All in God’s timing. Let the adventure begin,” Skoglund wrote.

Will Howard was selected by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft, and is pushing for the QB3 position on the Steelers this season.
Pittsburgh management signed veteran quarterback and future Hall of Famer, Aaron Rodgers, this offseason. He is expected to be the starter and Mason Rudolph will likely slot in as the backup QB.
Howard has had fun in the early days of training camp and is looking forward to the challenges of his first NFL season. He told reporters at training camp that he has remained focused this offseason despite the whirlwind of getting drafted and winning the national championship.
