‘Moore’s Never Won a Natty’ – Ohio State Fans Take Offense to Sherrone Moore Hype Post

The Ohio State-Michigan rivalry appears to be as heated as it has ever been.

While the Ohio State Buckeyes are coming off a national title, there are some fans in the state of Michigan who believe they have a better head coach in Sherrone Moore.

A University of Michigan fan account recently pointed out on social media that Ryan Day is 0-2 against Moore, which incited a response from an Ohio State fan.

    The Ohio State Response

While the non-affiliated University of Michigan sports social media account took note of Day’s record against Moore, a Buckeye fan responded with a post of his own.

Of course, the fan is referring to then-Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh possibly tampering with NCAA regulations by putting former analyst Connor Stalions on opposing teams’ sidelines to improve his team’s chances of winning games.

While Harbaugh and the school were eventually penalized, the team did not get any of its recent wins vacated, which includes their national title victory over Washington two seasons ago.

The Current State of the Ohio State-Michigan Rivalry

Still, this rivalry is arguably the most heated in all of college football and possibly sports.

Michigan leads the all-time series 61-52-6 and has won the last four games in a row with two of those coming with Moore as head coach. Before the last four wins from the Wolverines, Ohio State had won 16 of the previous 18 meetings thanks to the coaching jobs done by Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer, and Day.

Now, both teams have won a national title within the last two years, which is why this rivalry could currently be the most heated that it has ever been.

While Moore has done a good job of beating Ohio State so far, he went just 8-5 overall (5-4 in conference) in his first full season after taking over for Harbaugh, who is now the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.

He will need to respond with a much better season in 2025 while Day needs to find a way to beat Michigan for the first time since the 2019 season.
