Ohio State’s Will Howard Showing NFL-Ready Mindset, Already Impressing Steelers

Soon after joining the Steelers, Devin Jackson of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Howard, according to his mother, Maureen, was ready to play football.

The player reportedly contacted Tom Arth, the quarterbacks’ coach, and asked for work, sparking the debate about whether the 23-year-old can already be a starter and prove what he can provide to the team.

The coach replied, “We were going to give you the weekend off, but this is why we drafted you, because it’s the kind of worker you are.”

Fans on the internet have already begun comparing him to other quarterbacks drafted this year and predicting how his career will shape up, even before Howard takes a snap.

“Gonna be better than Cam Ward,” one fan predicted.

Others used the opportunity to bash Sanders, who many view as having “off-the-field issues.”

“Shedeur would never,” a commenter joked. “The anti-Shedeur,” another wrote.

Fans also praised the former Buckeye’s work ethic.

“Drafted in the 6th round and still putting in the work to try and be the best! Admirable!” a user commented.
