Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin has recently been garnering a lot of traction towards his Heisman Trophy stock this year. On Saturday, Oct. 18, coach Ryan Day’s Buckeyes took on coach Luke Fickell’s Wisconsin Badgers for their Week 7 matchup of the 2025 college football season in away territory, Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, as the campaign surpasses its midway mark.
Fortunately for the Ohio State faithful, Sayin and the rest of the Buckeyes defeated the Badgers in dominant fashion by 34 points, 34-0, for their seventh win of the year so far. Apart from the convincing victory, Sayin shone as he was able to put up a tremendous performance that caught the attention of many onlookers towards the sport. The sophomore finished with 394 yards total and four touchdowns.

College football fans and spectators then went wild on social media over Sayin’s performances this year, even going as far as to compare him to his rival counterparts and former players.
“And, Sayin is 10x better than Arch Manning,” one fan claimed mentioning Texas Longhorns star Arch Manning.
“He reminds me of Drew Brees; undersized, great feet, excellent pocket awareness, and incredibly accurate,” another fan said, discussing former Purdue Boilermaker standout Drew Brees.
“If his name were Arch Manning, he’d be the Heisman favorite right now,” a fan captioned.
Other users all over X, especially the Buckeyes faithful, then hail Sayin as they believe that he should be taking home this year’s Heisman Trophy.
“Let’s be honest — Sayin is the best QB in college right now, and will be the first QB taken in his draft class…BOOK IT📕,” one fan wrote with a book emoji.
“Sayin’s efficiency is off the charts, man. Crazy to not have him in Heisman convos,” another fan posted.
“Can we start the Heisman talk a little bit? Young man is putting something together here,” another user shared.
“Y’all tryna tell me this ain’t the Heisman front runner?,” a fan asserted.
Moving on from the win over Wisconsin, wherein they were able to hold their opponents scoreless, Sayin and the rest of coach Day’s Buckeyes now turn their attention towards their Week 8 game, which will be against coach James Franklin’s Penn State Nittany Lions. The Buckeyes-Nittany Lions matchup is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 31, and will be played at the former’s home pitch, the Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Julian Sayin And The Ohio State Buckeyes Maintain Their Unblemished 2025 Record
