With Field and Wilson’s connection, it took Ohio State fans back to their college football days as fan reactions began flooding in.
“THE OHIO STATE CONNECTION IS REAL WELCOME BACK JUSTIN FIELDS,” commented a fan.
“Buckeyes making plays, you love to see it!” stated a fan.
“Absolutely insane pass crazy chemistry,” said a fan.
“Buckeye to Buckeye! Let’s go!” exclaimed a fan.
“Jets might be the best team currently,” commented another fan.
“That connection is lethal; if they keep syncing like this, the Jets’ passing game will be unstoppable,” stated another fan.
“Justin is doing a great job today,” said a fan in awe of Justin’s performance.
“As college teammates Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson connected on 66 receptions for 1031 yards and 9 touchdowns. Wilson has a data-driven 3249 NFL receiving yards with 14 touchdowns while Fields has 7780 passing yards and 45 passing touchdowns,” noted a fan keeping the statistics in check.
“Ohio State chemistry about to take over the Jets! This duo is gonna be,” stated a fan.
“DO NOT STOP BELIEVING,” said another fan.
The first half of the contest has so far been an offensive one with the Jets leading 19-17 going into halftime. Jets’ quarterback Justin Fields was exemplary in the first half, going 9-for-11 for 134 yards, with 30 rushing yards on 6 carries. His half of play did include a perfect 33-yard touchdown throw to receiver Garrett Wilson.
Wilson was the favorite target for Fields with five catches for 68 yards, including the fantastic catching of the scoring throw, which was a throwback to Ohio State days.

Justin Fields, Garrett Wilson Poised to Rekindle Ohio State Magic
The touchdown was the first time the former Ohio State Buckeyes teammates had found a way to connect for a score since their days together in Columbus. Their last actual game as teammates was in the College Football National Championship for Ohio State Football in the 2020 season, when the Buckeyes lost to Alabama 52-24.
Garrett Wilson’s first memory of Justin Fields goes back to early 2019, when they both arrived at the same time on campus at Ohio State. From the bunk beds in the same room to developing a bond that was much larger than football, the pair had an instant rhythm.
It will be interesting to see if the pair can continue to put together performances all season long to spark memories of college football days.
