“Has the Juice Today”: CFB Reporter Notices Massive Changes in Ohio State QB Julian Sayin on Training Camp Day 3

Ohio State is aiming for a back-to-back CFP title win this season, and quarterback Julian Sayin is experiencing all the pressure. The sophomore QB has not been very vocal in the first two days of training camp, but many have seen a few changes during day three.

College football reporter Anand Nanduri was observing the Buckeyes training camp when he noticed that Julian Sayin was more vocal than usual during day three.

“Julian Sayin has the juice today. Much more vocal than he’s been the last 2 days.” Nanduri tweeted.

Sayin is currently competing with Lincoln Kienholz for that QB1 spot, with many considering former as the favorite so far. Sayin was a five-star quarterback in high school and a highly sought-after recruit who had many teams wanting him for his pure talent, and he finally gets the chance to show off that talent now that he may become the starting quarterback this year.

During the first two days of training camp, however, reports indicated that both QB1 candidates had lackluster performances. This has sparked concern among fans who have been hoping for a back-to-back national championship win this year.

This notable change from Sayin may spark some hope from fans, especially with all the criticism levied at the two QB1 candidates during the first two days.

Ohio State Buckeyes Training Camp Had Some Poor Quarterback Plays, Panicking Fans

A day before this notable change in the QB1 favorite in Julian Sayin, neither Sayin nor Lincoln Kienholz looked like they even belonged in the defending championship team. Reports from the second day of camp stated that both of them played poorly in the scrimmages.

The report came as Ohio State only has a month left before its opening game against Arch Manning’s Texas Longhorns. For now, the QB1 spot remains unfilled, and this has fans worried, though head coach Ryan Day does have a knack for announcing who the starting quarterback is late in preseason, often sparking panic from fans in the process.

Back in 2023, Ryan Day did not name a QB1 until Week 2 after he officially named Kyle McCord to be the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes for the rest of the season. He may do this again if the quarterbacks continue to disappoint, though the improvement in Julian Sayin may change that.
