South Carolina Gamecocks star wide receiver Nyck Harbor’s 80-yard touchdown run turned into an unbelievable controversy after Harbour accidentally bumped into a state trooper in a bizarre sideline confrontation in the game against Texas A&M at Kyle Field.
This unwarranted display of aggression prompted a lot of reactions from fans on X, calling out the officer:
“Such a loser”, called out a fan.
“Shitty conduct! Suspension at the least”, demanded a fan.
“Glad this was on Live TV If this was anywhere else he probably would’ve had his hand right on his gun”, stated a fan.
“You just know that dude works for ICE too”, a hilarious comment from a fan.
“That officer couldn’t be more butthurt about being blown out”, remarked a fan.
“This guy should not be allowed to carry a gun. Especially not on the behalf of the public”, stated another fan.
“Was he going to arrest him? Clown like behavior”, remarked another fan.

The situation escalated when Nyck Harbor accidentally shouldered a state trooper whilst walking out of the tunnel. The state trooper then pointed aggressively at Harbor as if issuing a verbal warning or threat. The score read 26-3 at the time this confrontation took place.

Gamecocks Strike First With 50-Yard Touchdown
South Carolina dominated the Aggies from the opening whistle as the Gamecocks’ first score was a spectacular 50-yard touchdown pass. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers linked up with Vandrevius Jacobs for the score. Then Dylan Stewart forced a fumble on Marcel Reed with Nick Barrett scoring the turnover, putting the Gamecocks up 17-3 at the end of the first quarter.
The Texas A&M offense was struggling to find any momentum, which included a missed field goal. Then Reed threw an interception in the end zone that set up Harbor’s monster run. That 80-yard play made the score 27-3. The subsequent turnover led to another score as South Carolina took a commanding 30-3 after the end of the first half.
However, the Aggies are now mounting a potential comeback after their below-par first-half display as the score now reads 17-30 to Carolina, and it will be interesting to see if Texas can overturn a 13-point deficit with less than five minutes left in the third quarter.
