On Thursday, June 26, former NFL quarterback and current Norfolk State University head coach Michael Vick celebrated his 45th birthday. Many came forward to wish the head coach, but one message will be closer to him than the rest, and it was from his daughter.
Vick’s daughter, London, paid a touching tribute to the coach. She posted a collage of family photos on her Instagram story, alongside a heartfelt message that read:
“Happy Birthday to the best dad I could ever ask for 🧡 @mikevick.”

Michael Vick tied the knot with Kijafa Vick (née Frink), who was born in December 1981 and graduated from Hampton University. The couple met in 2002 and got married in 2012. The couple has three children together, and London is one of them.
Born on October 12, 2004, Jada Vick has been a star quarterback in all-girls flag football since middle school. She received a college scholarship from Reinhardt University. Michael coached her, and he was also there to celebrate her participation in the NFL Flag Championships.
London Vick is the couple’s second daughter, who was born on October 19, 2007. According to Sun.com, she is a talented violinist.
After two daughters, Vick and Kijafa welcomed a son named Michael Vick Jr. on November 20, 2017. He is affectionately called “Fatman” by her mother. Kijafa once described him as her “accidental happiness.”
Michael Vick Excited With Former QB’s New Chapter with Norfolk
When Michael Vick returned to Hampton Roads to lead NSU football, one of his family members who was most proud was the former QB’s aunt, Tina Vick.
Speaking to Jessica Larché on “News 3 at 6” earlier this year, Tina said:
“As the aunt, I’m excited. I can’t wait to see you, Coach Michael Vick!”
Vick’s football journey began at the Boys & Girls Club on Hampton Avenue in Newport News.
“Who would have known from this Boys & Girls Club as a Spartan, it would have ended up as now the coach, Coach Michael Vick, at Norfolk State University,” Tina added. “Behold the Green and Gold!”
Tina’s daughter and Vick’s cousin Teunsha also shared a few words to describe how proud they were of his new chapter in Newport.
“I’m just so proud,” Teunsha said. “To the public, [he’s] Michael Vick, but when I see him, I see the same person that taught me how to ride my bike right out here [in Newport News], and it makes you very emotional.”
After retiring from pro football in 2017, Vick turned his focus to his family, broadcasting, and now coaching. His move to Norfolk State will help him spend more time with his family.
