Notre Dame Ramps Up Pursuit of 4-Star WR Brayden Robinson As Marcus Freeman’s Staff Stays Aggressive in Crunch-Time Recruiting

Notre Dame is in the recruiting battle, and they’re pulling out all the stops to secure Brayden Robinson, one of the top wide receivers in the 2026 class. He is a four-star prospect from Red Oak High in Texas, and he has been on the radar of several powerhouse programs, but Notre Dame has made it clear they see him as a cornerstone of their future offense.

With head coach Marcus Freeman leading the charge, the Irish are in a critical phase of their recruiting efforts, and Robinson is feeling the heat as decision time gets closer.

In a recent interview with recruiting insider Mike Singer, Robinson didn’t hold back from sharing just how intense Notre Dame’s pursuit has been. “They’re on me heavy,” he said. “They’re in my ear a lot, and I’m a top priority for them in their receiver room.”

That kind of attention from a program with the prestige of Notre Dame isn’t something he is taking lightly. He knows the Irish mean business, and their message resonates as he approaches the deadline of his recruitment.

Notre Dame’s interest in Robinson can be dated back to March 2024, when they extended a scholarship offer during their annual Pot of Gold Day recruiting event. Since then, the relationship has only grown stronger.

He visited South Bend in January this year, a trip that left a lasting impression.

“The interest is still high,” he noted after the visit. “It was good to see the campus and put names to faces.” His second trip came during Notre Dame’s Blue-Gold Game, where he got a full campus tour and a deeper look at what the program offers.

The personal connection he’s built with Freeman and the coaching staff is standing out to Robinson.

“They’re both genuine, and they tell me that I’m a priority for them,” Robinson said of Freeman and his team. Freeman has made it clear that Notre Dame will stay active in Robinson’s recruitment no matter what, a message that’s been drilled home during every interaction.

As the 2026 recruiting cycle heats up, all eyes will now be on Robinson and whether Notre Dame can close the deal. If they do, it’ll be another feather in Freeman’s cap and a sign that the Irish are building something really special in South Bend.
