Nick Saban’s Former 5-Star Recruit Names One Condition That Will Lead To Upset Over Indiana

The Rose Bowl is considered the oldest bowl game in college football, and No. 9 Alabama has a mighty task ahead of it against the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers. After upsetting the higher-ranked Oklahoma, the Crimson Tide are riding high and confident that they can actually beat the Hoosiers.

Detroit Lions star Terrion Arnold and Denver Broncos star Patrick Surtain may have already left the hallowed halls of the University of Alabama for the NFL, but that does not mean that they have already forgotten about their alma mater.  During their Closed on Sundays podcast, the two former Alabama stars who were recruited by Nick Saban when they were still in high school, talked about Bama’s keys to the game.

Surtain, who was a five-star recruit when he was in high school, admitted that Indiana has built a good football team, being the No. 1 team in the country and all, but he believes that the Crimson Tide has one thing that the Hoosiers don’t, and that is experience.

“Turnovers is key, and I think that in games like this, the score is gonna be close, probably. Bama’s gonna find its way through, you know Indiana’s got a good football team, but I told people before man, experience plays a high factor in games like this. Indiana’s first rodeo in I dunno how long, and Bama has been here before, so that could play into a lot,” Terrion said.

Alabama is seeking a second upset in a row, but this time against a team that is considered a much better and more technically sound one than Oklahoma. They also have Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza leading them.
