Nick Saban’s Daughter Kristen Thrashes “Brain Dead” Reports as Alabama Legend Gets Linked To LSU Job

Kristen Saban, the daughter of Alabama legend Nick Saban, issued a blunt message, addressing speculation linking her retired father to the head coaching job at LSU.

Kristen Saban’s on her Instagram story reshared a graphic as the post featured a photo of her father, who was named as one of the potential candidates for the LSU head coach position.

Kristen captioned her story, writing: “Some of yall are literally brain dead.”

Meanwhile, the rumor of Saban’s potential move to LSU was ignited after LSU made a stunning move, firing head coach Brian Kelly midway through his fourth season. The decision was finalized after LSU suffered a major 25-49 defeat to Texas A&M.

That loss marked LSU’s third defeat in four games, dropping them to a 5-3 record. Also, the firing is one of the most expensive in college football history as LSU now reportedly owes Kelly a buyout of around $54 million.

With those rumors, the situation makes sense, as Saban has a past history at LSU, where he coached for five years from 2000 to 2004, including a national championship in the 2003 season. Saban has a record of 48-16 at LSU.

Saban resigned in 2024 as the head coach of Alabama and then transitioned to a media analyst role for ESPN, where he is known as a significant member of the College GameDay show.

Kristen Saban Dismisses Rumors Around Her Alleged Brain Tumor Surgery

This is not the first time Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen, has utilized her social media presence to fight speculation, as she has previously responded to false stories in the past.

Early in 2025, Kristen responded to a different misinformation which was published on social media about her health status. The unsubstantiated claims suggested that her health had led to surgery for a brain tumor.

Kristen quickly and publicly dismissed those claims as she indicated she was in fact healthy, asserting that the social media claims were untrue.
