Nick Saban’s Daughter Kristen Drops 3-Word Comment on How Ex Alabama HC Is Doing on First Gig After Retirement

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban retired from coaching following the 2023 season. Since retiring, he has been a member of the College GameDay desk, providing analysis on television.

On Tuesday, Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen Saban, was asked a question in a comment on Instagram. She was asked how her dad is enjoying working on College GameDay. Nick Saban Discusses the Impacts of the Pay-For-Play Model on College GameDay

According to Kristen Saban, Nick Saban is happy in his new position on the College GameDay panel after his retirement from coaching. However, that does not mean he is happy with everything in the college football world. On the panel over the weekend, Saban spoke about the fact that there have already been nine in-season firings at FBS schools this season, including six at Power Four conference programs.

“You know, I’m not [surprised] because everybody’s raising money to pay players,” Nick Saban said. “So, the people that are giving the money think they have a voice and they’re just like a bunch of fans. When they get frustrated and disappointed, they put pressure on the [athletic directors] to take action, and it’s the way of the world.”

The most notable recent firing was to Florida’s Billy Napier. He was 22-23 in four seasons. The Gators owe him a buyout of $21 million, half of which is due within 30 days of the firing. While that is a big buyout, it does not come close to the $49 million payday former Penn State HC James Franklin will receive after being fired a few weeks ago.
