Is Nick Saban Attending the SEC Media Days? A Look at Ex Alabama HC’s Plans

As the SEC Media Day approaches, fans are wondering whether former Alabama football head coach Nick Saban will be part of ESPN’s SEC coverage from July 14 to July 17 in Atlanta.

Saban, who was part of ESPN’s SEC Media Days coverage last year, won’t participate this year, according to On3. So far no reason has been provided as to why Saban isn’t attending the event.

In order to cover 50 hours of live programming, including the 2025 SEC Kickoff, a special edition of SEC Now (July 15) and the second installment of SEC Startup Monday night, a host of analysts will take center stage.

The SEC Network’s panel will include mainstays Paul Finebaum, Jordan Rodgers, Greg McElroy, Roman Harper, and Benjamin Watson. Chris Doering, Dusty Dvoracek, Randall Cobb, and Cole Cubelic will also join in on the fun. Meanwhile, Laura Rutledge, Dari Nowkhah, Peter Burns, and Alyssa Lang will bring the action from the studio.

As per On3’s report, Burns and Doering will host SEC This Morning daily and SEC Now. Rutledge, Rodgers, McElroy, Finebaum, Harper, and Watson will be there for the special one-hour edition of SEC Now on Tuesday night.

Each day, the customary “The Paul Finebaum Show” will be aired in the afternoon, where players, coaches and conference members will share tidbits around the league.
