The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and so is your need to be prepared for all of tomorrow’s stars. Dive into our spotlight on Nick Emmanwori, featuring his scouting report, strengths and weaknesses, his recent draft projection, and where all the experts predict he could land.

Nick Emmanwori’s NFL Draft Scouting Report
Nick Emmanwori is one of the rarest safety talents to enter the NFL. He has the build of a linebacker but the movement skills of a compact free safety. The NFL covets speed and size at every defensive position, and Emmanwori fits the bill more than most.
With a 4.38-second 40-yard dash and a 43″ vertical jump, Emmanwori arguably had the greatest testing performance ever by a safety in Indianapolis. NFL teams have been burned by super-athletes at safety before, and to be clear, Emmanwori needs to improve his run support diagnosis and trigger before he can be a true multi-level weapon.
Nevertheless, his explosiveness is lethal as a click-and-close defender, and he has the coverage mobility and half-field vision to play two-high or big-nickel, as well as the catch-point proactivity and physicality to produce in that hybrid role. Usage is key, but his ceiling is incredibly high.
Nick Emmanwori’s NFL Draft Projection
In CSN’s 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from April 12, Emmanwori landed in Round 2 with the 39th overall pick. James Fragoza has this to say:
The Combine King, No. 39 might be Nick Emmanwori’s floor. He isn’t just a toolsy prospect — he made his presence known in both coverage and run defense for the Gamecocks, bringing the boom all over the field.
And in CSN’s recent 3-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Brian Burden had this to say about Emmanwori’s selection to the Philadelphia Eagles in Round 1 with the 32nd pick:
Nick Emmanwori, a 6’3″, 220-pound All-SEC selection with the South Carolina Gamecocks, would quickly become a fan favorite at Lincoln Financial Field. Just picture this menace roaming around in the secondary to time big hits or coming up to provide run support and the occasional blitz.
Emmanwori was productive throughout his South Carolina tenure, totaling 244 tackles and six interceptions in three seasons in Columbia. He had a career-high of 88 tackles and four picks last fall, two of which went back for touchdowns.
