“I’m In Rage Mode”: Zac Taylor’s Wife Sarah Once Expressed Frustration With Bengals Fans Over Backlash For Head Coach

The Cincinnati Bengals missed the NFL playoffs for the third straight year after finishing their regular 2025 campaign with an overall record of 6-11. Their final league game of the season saw them narrowly lose to the Cleveland Browns with a scoreline of 20-18.

After having served as the Bengals’ head coach for seven seasons straight, there has been a lot of talk about the 2025 season being Zac Taylor’s last with the Cincinnati-based side, and fan sentiment too seems to suggest the same.

However, last season too, the head coach was in a similar predicament, with fans supposedly lashing out at the head coach after a poor run of games. What a lot of fans fail to see is the human aspect of their favorite players or coaches, which is exactly what Taylor’s wife pointed out in her Instagram story back in November 2024.

Head Coach Zac Taylor’s wife, Sarah Sherman, in a throwback Instagram story from last season, did not hold back in calling out the Bengals fans after the side went through a bit of a rough patch.

“I am in rage mode right now and should delete Instagram. I just want people to know how hard this is to watch,” Sarah wrote on Instagram.

“My husband went to work on Monday at 5:15 am. Spent the night at the stadium. Came home Tuesday at 11 pm. Left for Baltimore Wednesday and will get home at 4 am tomorrow. He’ll work all day tomorrow bc (because) they have a game Sunday”, she further highlighted the hectic NFL workload Taylor had to endure.

Sarah concluded her Instagram rant by stating how the trolling affected her so much so that she had to watch one of the games with covers over her head whilst also highlighting the toll of the entire situation on their son Brooks.

Who Could Replace Zac Taylor At Cincinnati If The HC Gets Fired?

Moving on from a head coach that has been with a franchise for over half a decade is never an easy pill to swallow for fans and management alike. However, if the Bengals do decide to part ways with Zac Taylor, they might have to start looking at other prospective candidates.

Los Angeles Chargers’ defensive coordinator Jesse Minter has come up as one of the names to potentially replace Taylor if the Bengals choose to fire their long-standing head coach.

The likes of Joe Brady and Robert Saleh, who currently serve as the offensive and defensive coordinators for the Bills and the 49ers, respectively, are some names that the Cincinnati-based franchise could look at.
