Best WR Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 7: Top Must Add Players ft. Luther Burden

Week 7 kicks off tonight in the 2025 NFL season, and many wide receivers across the league have seen some injuries.

Whether it’s Mike Evans suffering what seems to be a yearly hamstring injury or Puka Nacua spraining his ankle last week, many productive wideouts have been hit by the injury bug. For some, it’s caused them to miss some time, and for others, it’s been making them play while not being 100% healthy.

With injuries come new players added in fantasy. Other factors, such as a rookie shining, or a wide receiver on a new team overproducing, or just looking for change, have many fantasy owners making constant moves at the position in fantasy.

As Week 7 kicks off tonight, let’s take a look at some of the best waiver wire adds at the wide receiver position.

Best WR Waiver Pickups for Week 7

    Luther Burden

Luther Burden is expected to be featured in Chicago’s offense this season. So far through five games, he has 11 catches on 12 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown. Burden had a breakout game in Week 3, recording three catches for 101 yards and a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. He led Chicago in receiving yards (51) in the team’s win against the Washington Commanders on Monday night.

    Kendrick Bourne

With the San Francisco 49ers suffering multiple injuries on the offensive side of the ball this season, wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has stepped up for the 49ers. Bourne has been extremely productive in his last two games- recording a combined 15 catches for 284 yards. He could be primed for a big week against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

    Tez Johnson

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have been hit with more injuries at the wide receiver position so far this season than any other team. The seventh-round rookie has been involved in the offense more in the last two games with injuries at the position. Johnson hauled in a 45-yard touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers and had four catches for 59 yards the week prior against the Seattle Seahawks.
