Will Woody Marks Play This Week? Everything Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Texans RB Ahead of Raiders Game

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks has been a solid addition to the backfield this season.

Entering the season as RB3, Marks has rushed for 584 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his rookie season after being drafted in the fourth round. Injuries to the Texans’ backfield (Joe Mixon, Nick Chubb) have allowed for Marks to get the opportunities that he has in the backfield this season.

But as the Texans head into its Week 16 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, they could be without Marks.

    What Happened To Woody Marks?

Woody Marks suffered an ankle injury in last Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. He did not return back to the game although head coach DeMeco Ryans said he could have returned but wanted to make sure Marks was good as the team continued to head into the week.

The injury was considered minor, as there is no long-term concerns with the injury. Marks left the game after rushing for 30 yards on seven carries.

Will Woody Marks Play In Week 16?

It’s anyone’s guess as to whether or not Woody Marks will play against the Las Vegas Raiders. Marks missed the team’s Wednesday and Thursday practices, which isn’t a good sign for his status this weekend.

Marks’ status in the team’s Friday practice will provide more clarity on if he looks good to suit up this Sunday.

The Texans enter Sunday’s game with a 9-5 record, which is a game behind the 10-4 Jacksonville Jaguars for the AFC South lead. As they look to finish the season strong and hope to clinch a postseason berth, the Texans will face the Raiders, Los Angles Chargers, and Indianapolis Colts to close out the regular season.
