Three weeks into the 2025 NFL season, fantasy managers are beginning to see which names are anchors and which ones are becoming weekly letdowns. Matchups and injuries have already altered the fantasy landscape, and Week 4 presents an opportunity to capitalize on some favorable matchups while avoiding the unfavorable ones that can ultimately lead to losses.
Start ’Em
T.J. Hockenson (TE, Vikings)
Hockenson has been one of the most reliable options at a position that rarely offers consistency. With Minnesota leaning on him heavily in the red zone, he’s locked in as a top play again this week. Pro Football Focus projects him for 9.1 points against a Steelers defense that has covered receivers well, giving Hockenson some potential looks.
Caleb Williams (QB, Bears)
Caleb Williams was the top quarterback in fantasy last week against the Cowboys in a fantastic game. This week, the Bears face the Raiders, who just let Marcus Mariota roll over them in his first start. The Bears should be fine in this game, and it seems pretty easy to trust Ben Johnson with his quarterbacks.
Jordan Love (QB, Packers)
Love faces Dallas in Week 4, and while the Cowboys bring a tough pass rush, their coverage has shown cracks. He’s been aggressive, pushing the ball downfield, and has enough weapons to make him a worthwhile starter in single-QB formats
Sit ’Em
Tee Higgins (WR, Bengals)
Higgins has yet to find his footing this season, and his Week 4 matchup doesn’t offer much relief. He’s seen limited red-zone usage, and with coverage tilting his way, his ceiling looks capped. With a backup also leading the way for the Bengals, Higgins might not be the best look this week.
Aaron Rodgers (QB, Steelers)
Rodgers isn’t an automatic start anymore. Facing a defense that pressures consistently and limits big plays, he carries more downside than upside. The Vikings are a blitz-heavy team through the first few weeks of the season, and Rodgers has the lowest air yards per attempt. With the game also in Dublin, Rodgers is a sit for Week 4.
Final Thoughts
Week 4 is where smart lineup calls can make the difference between starting strong or scrambling for the playoffs. Players like Hockenson and Williams should be able to gain ground with their matchups against their opponents this week. Trying to start Rodgers and Higgins, on the other hand, could be the nail in the coffin for your Week 4 fantasy team.
