It’s that time again, the fantasy playoffs are finally here. And for owners, everything needs to be ready to go by Thursday night. Starting lineups have to be in perfect order to move on and survive. The playoffs are going to be about adaptability, and that starts by picking the right players. Let’s start this year’s playoffs with the right receivers in the starting lineup.
Start ‘Em
Jameson Williams, Lions
There is a lot of buzz about Williams this week, and it’s honestly validated. The Cowboys’ defense has its issues. The matchup pairs Amon St. Brown being out just opens up the door. Williams should have plenty of volume to be a must-start tonight.
Christian Watson, Packers
Watson has a matchup with the Bears, whose secondary has been less than perfect. Expecting him to continue his hot streak wouldn’t be that crazy. Since his return, Watson has been consistently getting the ball. Bears should have some difficulty containing him in this one.
George Pickens, Cowboys
Pickens is hard to keep off any fantasy list right now. he is playing extremely well, and Dak may start to favor him over CD Lamb. The matchup against the Lions should prove to be no issue. Pickens seems to be doing well; owners should be keeping him in the lineup.
Sit ‘Em
Emeka Egbuka, Buccaneers
This is simply a regression spot for concerned owners. Egbuka did his thing, and the Bucs were injured when he was doing it. Now their QB1 is playing through injury, and more receivers have found their way back. Egbuka just isn’t in a great spot, and the Saints are a tough matchup for outside WRs.
Justin Jefferson, Vikings
For owners, this one is going to hurt. Jefferson is officially at that point where no one knows what’s next. The Vikings’ struggles have made their way to WR1. For owners, that simply isn’t worth the risk.
Devonta Smith, Eagles
Smith and the Eagles have the Chargers this weekend. Los Angeles has been dominant against receivers. Their defense seems quite underrated, and this could be one of Smith’s bust games again. Once again, owners have to ask if it is worth the risk.
Final Thoughts
If you want to win, it’s pretty clear that sometimes your top picks will have to hit the bench. Roster mobility is definitely difficult. Although one move could be the difference between a championship and a first-round exit.
