Top Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 12: Must-Add Players Include Kenneth Gainwell, Emanuel Wilson, And More

Another NFL week is in the books, and you know what that means. It is time for another edition of the waiver wire targets for Week 12. The regular season for fantasy football is in its final turn. For owners in playoff contention, a win this week would be huge for seeding and a possible last-second playoff birth. Here are the players to target for Week 12.

    Jacoby Brissett, QB, Cardinals

There isn’t much to love about the Cardinals this season, but Brissett has been great for fantasy. The backup for the Cardinals has stepped up and should be one of the premier targets this week. He is consistently putting up start numbers, and in Week 12, the Cardinals play the Jaguars. Brissett could be a huge boost for teams needing a QB.

    Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Steelers

Gainwell is another player who had a great performance this week. Two receiving touchdowns; that is just hard to argue with. Jaylen Warren could miss this week, which would make Gainwell the starter. His receiving upside is also dangerous every week. Gainwell appears to be a low-risk, high-payoff acquisition. He should definitely be on owners’ radars this week.

    Emanuel Wilson, RB, Packers

Wilson might be the most viral player of the week. After Josh Jacobs left the game, Wilson came in and grabbed 49 yards. The Packers have made one thing clear this year – they want to run the ball. If Jacobs is out for an extended period, Wilson looks like the guy moving forward. It will probably be difficult to grab him in most leagues with the buzz that he has generated, but if he is available, this would be a great add and start.

    Michael Wilson, WR, Cardinals

Brissett and the pass-heavy Cardinals have to have some sort of waiver wire skill player, right? That someone is Michael Wilson. Wilson seems to keep getting an increased target number, and last week, Marvin Harrison was out with a concussion. If Harrison is unable to go in Week 12, Wilson could have another big game.

Sean Tucker, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tucker is another one of the ‘take advantage of the situation’ players. Bucky Irving remains potentially at risk of injury going into Week 12. Last week, Tucker was able to grab three touchdowns and 106 yards. It seems pretty simple, right? The only issue is the Rams’ defense this week for the Bucs. Either way, plenty of touches should be going Tucker’s way, making him a great waiver pickup.

    Final Thoughts

Wavier wire pickups are now less about long-term success and more about short-term incidents. The more injuries that pile up around this time in the season, the more it makes way for players to have an impact on fantasy rosters. If your team is struggling, you can count on this list of players who could help owners get a win.
