Fans React as New Report Claims Jimmy Kimmel’s Charlie Kirk Comments Can Cause Disney Multi-Billion Dollar Loss: “Why Rehire a Guy Who Loses Millions”

The Walt Disney Company is currently in a situation with billion of dollars on the line. The company is weighing the potential return of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel against a historic deal with the NFL, and they’re seeing some extreme reactions from fans on X about their potential decision in the matter.

“Why rehire a guy who loses millions of dollars a year”, stated a fan.

“Soft. Money talks always”, said a fan.

“Jimmy pulled 129k viewers. The framing that this is even remotely a realistic choice is hilarious”, commented a fan.

“Especially since the ratings were terrible and the show was losing millions”, remarked a fan.

“This might be the dumbest post I’ve seen today. 5 people watch Kimmel, no one gives a f**k. It’s done. Get over it losers”, stated another fan.

“Football is king. Kimmel is ass. Easy choice”, stated another fan.

According to a report by Front Office Sports, this very conflict is occurring in the background at Disney. Ultimately, it is said that if Disney does have to make a decision, they would likely side with the NFL deal.

NFL to Gain 10% Stake in ESPN Under Proposed Deal

The proposed NFL agreement is a huge financial and business decision. It would have Disney’s sports division, ESPN, purchase the NFL Network. In return, the NFL would receive a 10% stake in ESPN, including the Redzone Channel and NFL fantasy.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has already strongly condemned Kimmel. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has issued threats to Disney if Kimmel returns to the show, which includes the complication of Disney losing television licenses and other obligations.

The controversy stems from comments Jimmy Kimmel made after the murder of conservative figure Charlie Kirk. The Trump administration took issue with Kimmel for allegedly making jokes regarding Kirk and his monologue directed towards President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Kimmel berated what he referred to as “the Maga gang” by saying they tried to reframe the narrative. He argued they were trying to characterize Kirk’s killer as “anything other than one of them.” He also went on to criticize Trump’s obligatory condolences he made for someone he said was his friend.
