Tyreek Hill Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need To Know About Dolphins’ WR Ahead Of Week 5

The Miami Dolphins may have defeated the New York Jets, but they also lost one of their best players since wide receiver Tyreek Hill got even more bad news on Monday, as he got injured. He got himself injured after catching a 10-yard pass from Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

    What Happened To Tyreek Hill?

The Miami Dolphins wide receiver injured his knee after that catch. He had an awkward landing after catching that pass from Tagovailoa. He reportedly twisted his leg awkwardly and dislocated his knee. Hill also also tore multiple ligaments in the process, including his ACL, and this has made his injury even worse.

He was soon stretchered off the field and went for further testing. For now, reports indicate that he is still in the hospital and is awaiting surgery on his knee on Tuesday.

Is Tyreek Hill Playing This Week?

The quick answer is no, as an ACL injury is not an easy mend and takes months, even years. He is expected to miss the entire season but could return in time for the 2026 season, however.

This could not come at a worse time for Tyreek Hill, who is currently locked in a contentious divorce battle with his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro. Vaccaro is also accusing Hill of domestic abuse, claiming that he physically abused her and beat her up on at least eight different occasions. The NFL is now investigating those allegations, which may mean that in addition to missing games due to injury, he may be suspended if found guilty as well.

When Does Tyreek Hill Contract End?

Tyreek Hill signed a three-year contract extension with the Miami Dolphins worth $90 million. This included a $7,000,000 signing bonus, $59,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $30,000,000. However, he signed it in 2024, which means his contract will be up in 2026 and he will be a free agent in 2027.

However, this has been made even more complicated as there are reports that Hill asked to be traded from Miami. With all the drama surrounding him plus a possible suspension due to his domestic violence allegations, it would not be surprising if Miami would want to trade him before his contract expires.

    Tyreek Hill Fantasy Outlook

As for Fantasy, him possibly returning next year would be a bad thing, and it is best for managers to drop the wide receiver and get another.
