After Baltimore Orioles kicker Tyler Loop missed a 44-yard field goal that ended the team’s season, fans roasted him on social media. The timing couldn’t have been any worse as those reactions also made their way into his engagement post with his fiancée, Julia Otto.
The engagement post was made in March 2025, but when Nightcap co-hosts Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco were going through them now, they got emotional seeing some of the messages in the comments section. The following were the comments:
“Hope you get divorced.”
“Still have time to cancel the wedding.”
“I deada** hopes everyone you love starts getting picked off 1 by 1.”
The comments were so personal in nature that even Sharpe and Ocho couldn’t help but laugh at the kicker’s situation. Sharpe said:
” Y’all wrong. Y’all wrong. Y’all dead for that. That’s diabolical. Hey, look at me be y’all know y’all wrong with that. Come on man.”
Wild: Shannon Sharpe and Ocho Cinco were in TEARS reading Ravens fans ROASTING Tyler Loop and his fiancée on Instagram.

Tyler Loop Got Emotional On Sidelines After Missing 44-Yard FG
No one was more shocked than Tyler Loop when he kicked that ball in an attempt to make the field goal and give Baltimore a lead. However, he missed it and that essentially sealed a 26-24 win for the Pittsburgh Steelers. With that, the Ravens were knocked out of the playoffs.
Loop was visibly emotional on the sidelines immediately after the kick, knowing it was no good right away. In the lockerroom teammates and coaches showed support, including head coach John Harbaugh, who was consoling him as they left the field.
In his interview with the reporters, Loop described what he felt went wrong with his field goal attempt.
“Just for a time like that sucks, I want to do better, and unfortunately, the nature of the job is, you have makes, those are awesome, and unfortunately you have misses,” Loop said. “For that to happen sucks. We’ve been through a lot of adversity this year as a team early on, we fought, we’ve worked really hard together, those guys have had my back, and I want to try my best to have theirs. It’s disappointing, and it sucks, but also the nature of the job is I got to move on, and I got to get ready for the next kick.”
It has been that kind of season where things went sideways at the wrong time. Tyler Loop’s mistake was one of those moments.
