Matt LeFleur Faces Massive Roadblock As New Tucker Kraft Injury Update Spells Doom For Green Bay

Tucker Kraft’s season is at an end, as it’s been confirmed that the Green Bay Packers tight end has suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury. He suffered the injury during Sunday’s defeat to the Carolina Panthers. From the beginning, a season-ending injury was feared, and an MRI this Monday confirmed the torn ACL.

This brings to an end a breakthrough sophomore season for the former South Dakota State player. Kraft had recorded 32 catches, with 489 receiving yards. and six touchdowns. He was largely expected to post career-best numbers this season, having recorded 50 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdowns in 17 games last season. This comes as a great disappointment to Matt LeFleur and Co., who were hoping for more such performances from the Packers’ tight end.

    How was Tucker Kraft Injured?

During the third quarter of Sunday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers, Tucker Kraft suffered a knee injury in a standard run play. While blocking during a Josh Jacobs run, Kraft fell to the ground, and he was immediately seen grabbing his knee in pain.

He stayed on the ground in pain for several minutes and eventually was able to walk off the field with assistance, but was later carted off to the locker room. Soon after the game, coach Matt LaFleur admitted that the injury didn’t “look good”.

Tucker Kraft is currently the third tight end with the most receiving yards this season, with only Kansas City’s Travis Kelce (540 yards) and Indianapolis Colts’ Tyler Warren (518 yards) ahead of him.

Some expected 2023 fellow draftee, Luke Musgrave, to take over many of Kraft’s duties in the Green Bay Packers lineup.
