“Targeted Because He’s MAGA”: Donald Trump’s Political Advisor Shares Clear Stance On Antonio Brown’s Ongoing Legal Battle

Antonio Brown’s second-degree attempted murder case has been one of the most embarrassing storylines for the NFL in recent times, once more bringing to the forefront the league’s issues with player behavior and violence off the field.

Well, that is, for most of the people interested in the sport. For Donald Trump’s long-time political advisor, Roger Stone, it seems to be either a joke or yet another case of the many political witch hunts those supporting the President seem to be the victims of.

The 73-year-old New Right consultant and lobbyist tweeted the following on Sunday, in support of the disgraced football star:

“Hanging with probably the greatest wide receiver in American football history, Antonio Brown, who did nothing wrong. Brown has been targeted because he is MAGA.”

This comes days after Brown filed a motion to dismiss the case based on the state of Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

“Brown’s use of force on May 16, 2025, was fully justified,” the motion read. “Brown reasonably believed that the alleged victim intended to cause him serious harm.”

    What Did Antonio Brown Do?

Brown is accused of attempted murder in the second degree, following a gunfire incident in an amateur boxing event in Miami, Florida. He allegedly got into a fistfight with an individual by the name of Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, and while security staff separated them, Brown got hold of one of the guard’s guns and fired two shots in the direction of Nantambu.

According to him, he acted out of self-defense and believed the other individual posed a threat to him. Nonetheless, he fled to the United Arab Emirates, where he lived for six months before being extradited by U.S. marshals from Dubai to Miami.

The “Stand Your Ground” law removes the legal duty to retreat before using deadly force in self-defense. It was approved in 2025.
