Trevor Lawrence had a rough night in London. The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback struggled to find rhythm as his team fell hard to the Los Angeles Rams, 35–7. Lawrence finished with nearly 300 yards passing but completed less than half his throws, taking multiple sacks and missing key chances.
The loss dropped Jacksonville to 4–3, dampening what had been a promising start to the season. It was one of those games where nothing seemed to work, and the frustration showed on Lawrence’s face as the clock ran out.
Off the field, his wife Marissa tried to lift his spirits. Soon after the defeat, she shared a photo dump on Instagram featuring moments from their trip overseas. The collection included snapshots of family time and a sweet image of her, Trevor, and their child.

On her Instagram story, she reshared that same picture and added a brief, heartfelt message of support.
“Love you so much!!!!!” Marissa wrote.

Marissa has often been seen in the stands during Jaguars games, and her post seemed to reflect both pride and empathy after a long, disappointing day. The timing, just hours after the loss, showed how she continues to be a grounding presence for the young quarterback.
For Lawrence, the Rams game was a setback in a season that has already tested his consistency. He remains the face of a franchise still trying to establish an identity under new leadership. The numbers were not kind this week, but the bigger picture remains open.
Lawrence has the tools, and moments of brilliance still flash between the miscues. Now, with the bye week ahead, he’ll have time to reset, regroup, and prepare for the next challenge.
Trevor Lawrence Reflected on the Jaguars’ Loss
Lawrence admitted the Jaguars need to open games with more urgency. He felt the offense moved the ball well early but failed to turn drives into points. The missed chances on third and fourth down proved costly, stalling momentum and wasting valuable time.
He recognized that many of the mistakes were simple, fixable plays he needs to execute better. To him, leaving drives unfinished was even more frustrating than failing to move the chains.
“We were moving the ball, but just getting no points out of the drives, which is almost worse because you’re using the clock. We have to find ways to finish the drives,” Lawrence said.
The focus now is on studying the film, understanding what went wrong, and finding ways to respond. Lawrence believes the team can learn from the loss and come back sharper, more disciplined, and ready to capitalize when opportunities come again.
The Jaguars will play the Raiders next on 2nd November at Allegiant Stadium.
