Travis Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, shared her spiritual experience during her lowest point. During Hunter’s final college football season with the Colorado Buffaloes, Lenee faced a lot of hate after past videos of her with another man went viral. She was also trolled and criticized for her behaviour with Hunter during the last game at Folsom Field and then again at the Heisman ceremony.
Due to intense trolling and backlash, she deactivated her social media and until about now, most didn’t know what she went through. On Sunday, she penned a heartfelt Instagram post where she described the feelings she was going through at the time. She appreciated the Almighty for helping her go through that path.
“On January 2nd of this year, on a random beach in DR, I decided to give my life to Jesus after hitting what felt like rock bottom to me the previous 2 months,” Lenee said. “I was in the worst mental space and felt like I had nobody who could relate or understand what it felt like to have millions of people dislike you over a false narrative that was painted. As someone who once cared so much what others thought about me, I couldn’t stand feeling so disliked.
“So, I gavel prayed and gave it all to Jesus. I cried and asked him for strength, forgiveness, and for him to reveal himself to me. In exchange I would read every work of his that is written and I would complete it by the end of this year. Later that night I found a “Bible in a year” plan and made sure I dedicated time every single day to be quiet and read Gods word.”

Travis Hunter’s Wife Leanna Lenee Gives Spiritual Reason For Refraining From Cursing
In her attempt to connect with Jesus, Leanna Lenee has also given up a bad habit of cursing now and then.
As she continued to share her experience through Instagram stories, she revealed her promise to God not to speak curse words ever again.
“I kid you not, 2 days on January 4, later I had my first conviction,” Lenee said. “And I heard God tell me that I had to stop cursing. The first week after this was the hardest because it was how I spoke, and how I’ve always spoke. But I put in my best effort. I think January 13 or 14 was the last day that I “slipped up” and a curse word has not been spoken from my mouth since.”

Lenee and Hunter have been married since and have also welcomed a baby boy. Meanwhile, Hunter, who was picked seventh overall, made his debut for the Jacksonville Jaguars before being shut down for the season after suffering a non-contact injury on Oct. 30. The injury required him to undergo surgery for a torn lateral collateral ligament (LCL) performed on November 11.
