One of the biggest developments in the life of 2024 Heisman winner was when Travis Hunter’s wife Leanna Lenee gave birth to their first child on August 27, 2025. The couple revealed the news through their YouTube video titled “Dear Son…”, revealing that they had quietly welcomed a baby boy.

The above-mentioned video documents Lenee’s pregnancy journey, including the discovery of a positive pregnancy test, ultrasound footage, and also a reveal that Lenee already dreamt that she would become a mother to a boy “with lots and lots of curly hair.”

“Today is March 26, and this was the dream I had Feb. 28,” she said in the video. “I knew it was gonna be a boy. So cool.”

During Travis Hunter’s final season in college with Colorado, Leanna came under immense criticism with several of his past videos with another man going viral. Moreover, a video circulated from Heisman ceremony where coach Deion Sanders had to ask her to stand up. This led to public criticism from netizens, requiring Hunter to come forward and reaffirm their relationship.

“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl. I feel the same pain that she feel,” Hunter said in a December 2024 Twitch video. “We’re unseparable [sic], we’re with each other. If she hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting.”

The couple event went off of social media for some time before returning for the 2025 NFL season.
