With the Tennessee Titans currently sitting at 1-7 through its first eight games of the season, rumors have it that everyone is up for trade besides quarterback Cam Ward and defensive lineman, Jeffery Simmons.
One player that could be on the move is running back Tony Pollard. Pollard signed a three-year deal worth up to $21.75 million prior to the 2024 season. He had a solid season with Tennessee last year, rushing for over 1,000 yards for a third-straight season and scoring five touchdowns.
Pollard has taken a step back this season, averaging just 3.9 yards per carry and being projected to rush for under 1,000 yards. Let’s take a look at three teams that could possibly look to roll the dice and take a chance on Tony Pollard.

Three Teams That Could Trade For Tony Pollard
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are thin at running back. They’ve already lost Najee Harris for the season and they’re expected to finally get Omarion Hampton back in the coming weeks. Adding Pollard could be a boost at the position and would see Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins getting less snaps in the backfield.
Since Harris is just on a one-year contract, the Chargers don’t have a solid RB2 behind Hampton.
Dallas Cowboys
Back where it all started. Javonte Williams has been great for the Dallas Cowboys this season, but Miles Sanders, who has only played four games, is the team’s second leader rushing with just 117 yards. It also doesn’t help that he’s only played in four games.

Pollard thrived in Dallas from 2022-2023, rushing for consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. A reunion might be a good option for him.
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots‘ leading rusher this season is Rhamondre Stevenson, who has 279 yards in all eight games played. He’s been averaging just 3.4 yards per carry this season.
Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson has continued with 228 rushing yards and two touchdowns, but the Patriots could help out Drake Maye and boost its backfield by adding Pollard. They also have the cap to afford him.
