Terry McLaurin has struggled to stay healthy for fantasy owners this year. The Commander’s wideout joins his quarterback, Jayden Daniel,s on a long list of star players who will miss Week 11. Owners, don’t freak out just yet. Here is everything you need to know.
What Happened to Terry McLaurin?
This season, McLaurin has been held out of six games due to a quad injury. It aggravated in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and McLaurin hasn’t been able to play since.
Will Terry McLaurin Play This Week?
The Commanders are heading to Madrid, where they will take on the Dolphins in Week 11. Unfortunately, it will be without their receiver and quarterback, though McLaurin will travel with the team. With Daniels out, it seems the Commanders will take any help that they can. McLaurin is targeting a Week 13 return after the bye, giving his quad extra time to heal. If recovery holds steady and no issues occur, he should be back against Denver.
Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook
From a fantasy perspective, this stretch has been brutal for McLaurin managers. There is nothing to really like about how McLaurin has played for fantasy owners. Many owners are hoping that he can return for Week 13. In case he comes back, he should be the lead receiver again. We’re not sure if he will be worth the start till Week 15 or 16, though, because of his recovery.
Fantasy Replacements For Terry McLaurin in Week 11
Deebo Samuel has been the primary weapon for Washington. He leads the offense with 46 receptions and 396 yards as the new number one receiver. While Marcus Mariota is now throwing, Samuel still has an increased workload and should be sitting at a WR2 range.
Another viable option is the wavier wire. Darius Slayton and Alec Pierce look like potential options. They have received an increased number of reps and could be potential starters for fantasy teams heading into the playoffs.
Final Thoughts
McLaurin’s injury is one in a long list of obstacles that start to get in the way before the fantasy playoffs. Now more than ever, owners who can’t find the right pickups will have an early end to their season. Stay ready and healthy as we round the last corner of the regular season.
