After being placed on the franchise tag this offseason for a second-straight year, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and the team worked out a long-term deal.
Higgins inked a four-year, $115 million after logging five productive seasons for Cincy. This season, he’s continued to produce as a top receiver despite a few injuries getting in his way.
As the Bengals prepare for its Week 16 game against the Miami Dolphins, the team is hopeful Higgins is able to suit up.
Tee Higgins Injury Update
Tee Higgins has had an unlucky 2025 season. First, in Week 12 against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Nov. 23, Higgins took a hard fall to the ground and banged his head, and was slow to get up as he was on the ground for a few minutes. This forced him to miss their Week 13 game against the Ravens.
Making his return over a week later against the Buffalo Bills, Higgins banged his head hard on the turf. Though he was shaken up, he played the rest of the game. Later that night, he reported concussion symptoms, and missed this past week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Tee Higgins was the poster child for the pressure to not be diagnosed with 2 #concussions in a row.
1st game back from a concussion, his head clearly hurts here, but everyone is under pressure to pretend he’s fine, so no erring on the side of caution.pic.twitter.com/NiP45ZeO7v— Chris Nowinski, Ph.D. (@ChrisNowinski1) December 7, 2025
Will Tee Higgins Play Week 16 vs. Dolphins?
While he misses last week’s game, there hasn’t been much of an update about whether or not Higgins looks on track to play this Sunday to play against the Miami Dolphins. He was still in concussion protocol on Monday, and though it’s too early to tell, that’s not a good sign.
Tee Higgins remains in concussion protocol.

Fantasy Replacements If Tee Higgins Misses This Week
If Tee Higgins is unable to go this week, there are always some solid options that could be picked up on the waiver wire.
You can take a gamble and add either Green Bay Packers receivers Jayden Reed or Romeo Doubs as Christian Watson is out with a chest injury. Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin could be a solid option in a big game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
