The Cincinnati Bengals have a marquee game this weekend, facing the Buffalo Bills on the road at 1:00 p.m. ET.
With it being Week 14, many teams are banged up this time of the year with some teams more injured than others. As the Bengals got its starting quarterback Joe Burrow back last week, they were without starting wide receiver Tee Higgins.
As they prepare to take on the Bills, the Bengals are hopeful to get Higgins back.
What Happened to Tee Higgins?
During the Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 12 loss to the New England Patriots, Tee Higgins suffered a concussion. Attempting to catch a deep ball, Higgins hit the ground and landed on his head hard, causing him to leave the game with four minutes left.
This forced Higgins to go into concussion protocol and he was ruled out for the team’s Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Unfortunately it looks like yet another #concussion for Tee Higgins from his head striking the turf.
How do we justify that the turf is not designed primarily for safety? Stadiums are designed to maximize profits – careers are the cost. pic.twitter.com/SYak4gXFLb— Chris Nowinski, Ph.D. (@ChrisNowinski1) November 23, 2025
Will Tee Higgins Play Week 14?
This Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals face the Buffalo Bills. The Bengals got some good news regarding the status of Higgins yesterday, as he was dressed up in uniform for the team’s walkthrough practice on Monday.
Still, Higgins is in concussion protocol and must clear before the Bengal think about activating him.
Tee Higgins was in uniform for today’s walkthrough. Back in the locker room.

Tee Higgins Fantasy Outlook
When healthy, Tee Higgins is one of the more productive wide receivers in the NFL. He and Ja’Marr Chase are arguably the best 1-2 WR duo, with each of them having the capability to go off any given week.
On the season Higgins has 40 receptions for 575 yards and seven receiving touchdowns in 11 games played. It doesn’t matter if Joe Burrow or Joe Flacco or somebody else is throwing him the ball, Higgins finds a way to be productive.
Fantasy Replacements For Tee Higgins
If you have to replace Tee Higgins this week, there aren’t too many great options on the waiver wire.
Buffalo Bills WR Keon Coleman scored a touchdown in his return after a two-game absence this past Sunday. New York Jets wide receiver Adonai Mitchell had a season-high eight-catch 102-yard performance with a touchdown last Sunday.
