“Another Taylor Swift Situation”: NFL Fans React As Deion Sanders Steals Spotlight During Shedeur Sanders’ Thrilling Raiders Performance

Shedeur Sanders seems to be making the most of the opportunity he was handed to start this week against the Las Vegas Raiders, following Dillon Gabriel’s concussion last week against the Baltimore Ravens.

College football fans have been awaiting this one for a long time, as the once-considered first-round prospect has been quietly sitting in the wings since being picked in the fifth round of the NFL Draft earlier this year.

Someone else who is clearly enjoying Shedeur Sanders’ first career start in the NFL regular season is his famous father and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who celebrated on the sidelines as his son threw a 53-yard pass in the game’s first quarter.

Unsurprisingly, the cameras have focused on Coach Prime more than once during the game. The situation has, in the minds of some fans, drawn parallels to the constant coverage of Taylor Swift during Kansas City’s games the last few years.

One fan wondered why the game’s broadcast was focusing so much on Deion Sanders in the stands and whether this would become a regular occurrence.

“Is this going to be another Taylor Swift situation? After every big play by Shedeur Sanders we’re going to get a shot of Deion in the booth? 🙄,” asked one fan.

Yet a majority of fans didn’t agree with the criticism of Deion being shown on TV.

“this is one of the greatest football players ever and his son is the QB. No different than showing other NFL legends with kids in the league,” someone clarified.

“I’m okay with it. It’s Shedeur’s first start. It’s okay to show a proud father who has tried to stay out the way since his son has been drafted,” said another fan.

“Just do what your therapist told you to do with Taylor,” joked somebody else.

“SHUT UP!! He’s a Proud Dad!! U probably Know Nothing About Being full of Joy n Being a Proud Parent! Y’all Haters Cry n B!tch about the Smallest things!,” demanded another person.

“Too late hater! The trains left the station. Tune out,” joked yet another fan.

Shedeur Sanders’ Numbers Against the Las Vegas Raiders at Halftime

At the start of the second half of the game, the Browns were leading 14-3, and Shedeur Sanders looked comfortable as the team’s quarterback. He has thrown for 127 yards, with no touchdown passes and one interception. He has gone seven-for-11, and his completion percentage is 63.6%.

He has thrown two 30-yard-plus passes that showed his ability to move the ball deep down the field. Sadly, the team’s problems remain glaring. The second pass, a 39-yard connection to Jerry Jeudy, was immediately wasted as the wide receiver inexplicably stopped right after catching the ball and had the ball slapped out of his hands for a fumble.
