“Real Football Fans Know He’s Washed”: ‘Swifties’ Get The Blame As Travis Kelce Makes AFC Pro Bowl Team Over Hunter Henry

The list of this year’s Pro Bowlers have been released, and to the surprise of many, fans have voted Travis Kelce in despite having a dismal year with the Kansas City Chiefs, which has now been eliminated from playoff contention. Many believed it should have been New England Patriots star Hunter Henry who should have gotten the tight end nod, but it was Kelce instead.

As many expected, fans soon took to the post and made their voices heard, though many blamed Taylor Swift fans AKA Swifties, for Kelce getting the Pro Bowl nod.

“It’s not Chiefs Kingsom that did it, it was the Swifties!! Real football fans know he is washed up and does not deserve to be anywhere close to a pro bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!” one angry fan stated.

“It’s all those damn Taylor Swift fans LOL,” another commenter added.

““Chiefs Kingdom” we know what type of people are doing this and it’s not “Chiefs Kingdom”” another X user pointed out.

“More like thank you Swifties. This TE with a terrible season couldn’t have done it without you.,” one fan sarcastically replied.

“Man, it’s ok to specifically thank the swifties. You all should try to convert them to life long Chiefs fans. Instead you act like they don’t exist.. Missing opportunities that you won’t have in a couple of years.. 🤷‍♂️” one commenter said.

“Kelce topping Pro Bowl votes again? Chiefs Kingdom votes like they’re buying dips. Taylor Swift probably cast half those ballots herself. When your tight end’s a pop star proxy, the popularity contest is rigged. Market’s closed on that one.” one parody account tweeted.

It Was Travis Kelce Who Topped Voting For the Pro Bowl

For the fan voting to decide which players would get to the NFL’s version of the All-Star Game, NFL insider Tom Pelissero revealed that it was Travis Kelce who had the most amount of votes for the second season in a row. He topped other big names, including Josh Allen, Drake Maye, Caleb Williams and Kevin Byard.

Fan votes consist of a third of the players chosen for the Pro Bowl, and the other third goes to players, with the last one going to coaches. With Kelce’s popularity being due to his engagement to Taylor Swift, it is easy to believe that they were the primary driving force for him being the top vote getter.
