New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs is facing assault allegations from his former chef, who accused him of choking and slapping her over a salary dispute. In the wake of these charges, Diggs’ girlfriend Cardi B has come forward to deny the allegations made against the father of her two-month old son.
Cardi B said the accuser “never directly told her” about being touched as alleged. She also posted screenshots from her Instagram dm box, which disputes the allegations made against the Patriots star. However, she has deleted the post since.
“Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!!,” Cardi said on X.
The rapper said she is confident that the allegations are not true:
“Mind you, we was talking every single day until she left that house and she JUST wrote me this.. but I’m gonna let the courts handle s*** and when it gets handled I want all yall talkin s*** on your f***in knees with apologies just as loud the way yall been harassing over a lie… and I put that on my two month old son in the name of the lord!! That’s how confident I am.”

Cardi B’s defense drew negative reactions, with some arguing she crossed a line by weighing in publicly amid an ongoing investigation.
“Isn’t this illegal☕️☕️☕️” one fan wrote.
“They can both go to jail,” one fan added.
“She needs to stay out of it, she wasn’t there, all she knows is what he told her. Seems to me that she would want to stay out of it being that she has a history and has been convicted of sending men to beat up women. GO SIT DOWN BIRD,” one fan wrote.
“Harassing the f*cking victim but want to talk about other folks,” one fan commented.
“They are made for each other always assaulting people,” one fan accused.
“That dude playing her it is what it is,” one fan posted.
“she really coming through with full defense mode for diggs,” another fan added.
Stefon Diggs Charged Over Assault Allegations
Despite the public defense from Cardi B, Stefon Diggs will have to fight these allegations as he was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from an alleged December 2 incident.
Diggs has denied the allegations and his attorney, David Meier, expressed the same.
“The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction,” Meier wrote.
The Patriots have also issued a statement of support for Diggs and said they will cooperate with the authorities.
