Shedeur Sanders was announced as the backup quarterback to Dillon Gabriel for Cleveland Browns’ Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend. Many thought that head coach Kevin Stefanski would put the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback in the game. But even with Gabriel leading the Browns on the field, they suffered a lopsided 23-9 loss.
On Tuesday, Shilo Sanders, dressed up in his brother Shedeur’s Browns jersey, dropped a video talking to his brother about his absence from the game. It was a hilarious conversation which started with the safety pointing out that the only reason he stayed back was to watch Shedeur take the field in the game.
“You were like three thoughts away from getting in. Right, or am I tripping? You were about to get in today,” Shilo said.
“I really was. It was close,” Shedeur replied.
“That’s what I’m saying — I thought it was close. At the end of the game, we thought you were going to get in,” Shilo added.
“I did too, that’s why I was warming up,” Shedeur said.
Bleacher Report shared this conversation with the following caption:
“Shilo said the only reason they stayed was cause they thought Shedeur was going in 😭”
