Following the Browns’ brutal loss 16-23 to the Baltimore Ravens that dropped the team to 2-8, veteran analyst Tony Grossi didn’t mince words on the ESPN Cleveland Show whilst talking about the potential changes that the Browns’ will make come season end.
Grossi, in agreement with host Tony Rizzo, said that both head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry should be fired at season’s end. The loss also featured rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ forgettable NFL debut which sums up the Browns’ sorry 2025 NFL campaign.

What made Grossi’s comments particularly interesting wasn’t just his call for Stefanski and Berry to go as he also threw defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz’s name into the ring as a potential head coaching candidate.
“I think Jim Schwartz deserves to be a candidate for head coach… And I think he should be considered in the pool of candidates, for sure”, Grossi stated (0:13).
“You can’t let him leave the building after you let Raymond leave the building. This is incredible that it’s gotten to this point”, he further elaborated (0:29).
Grossi went as far as suggesting the Browns cannot afford to let Schwartz walk away, referencing the organization’s past mistake of losing past coaches.
Shedeur Sanders Struggles After Replacing Injured Dillon Gabriel
Sanders entered the game after starter Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion in the second half. What followed was a performance that left much to be desired from the fifth-round pick. He managed just 4 completions on 16 attempts for a measly 47 yards, threw an interception, and got sacked twice.
Awful: Browns HC Kevin Stefanski says Dillon Gabriel will start next week if he’s healthy and passes concussion protocol.

The former Colorado star did add 16 rushing yards on three carries, but it wasn’t nearly enough to spark any sort of comeback.
Meanwhile, Dillon Gabriel’s injury has caused Browns’ quarterback depth chart a massive hit. With Joe Flacco being traded to the Bengals earlier this year combined with Dillon Gabriel’s injury, Sanders is most likely slated to be their starting quarterback with Deshaun Watson playing second fiddle till the time Gabriel comes back from his injury.
