The Buffalo Bills demolished the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, leading to an already-injured Aaron Rodgers to get injured further, as well as fans calling for Mike Tomlin to get fired. One former Super Bowl winner is agreeing with this assessment after the Steelers fell to 6-6 in the season after a red-hot start.
During the Speakeasy podcast, guest James Jones, who won Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers in 2011, was asked what he thought about what is currently happening at Pittsburgh and about the Mike Tomlin situation. Jones bluntly stated that yes, Tomlin should be fired, as he is probably wasting TJ Watt’s prime years with the Steelers. However, he put it rather kindly as he still believes in Tomlin.
“You know I’ve been on the ‘do not touch Tomlin,’ leave Tomlin put, but it’s time for a new scenery for my dog,” he said. “And the main reason why it’s time to move on is because nothing’s changing man, like it looks the same year after year.” (59:00)
“TJ Watt’s only getting older, Jalen Ramsey’s only getting older, Cam Hayward only getting older, and I can’t say tou can’t rebuild it, but you can’t rebuild it man,” he added.

Pittsburgh has lost five of its last seven games, with Tomlin allowing Aaron Rodgers, who had been dealing with at least three fractures on his left wrist, still played despite the injury. The Steelers’ offense lagged and its defense failed to contain a surging Buffalo Bills team, ultimately losing 26-7.
Pittsburgh Steelers Fans Were Chanting ‘Fire Tomlin’ After Loss To Buffalo Bills
The calls to fire Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin were the loudest during that 19-point loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, as fans let their thoughts on the coach very clear. They rained down “Fire Tomlin!” chants after the game, and the coach himself has noticed.
During the post-game, Mike Tomlin addressed the chants and stated that he “share their frustrations ” too, agreeing that the team did not do their best on the night.
