The Indianapolis Colts may be the top team in the NFL right now, but they have struggled with one of the worst teams in the league, the Atlanta Falcons, in Germany. The team has brought in corner back Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets, and he has had some bad plays, including letting Atlanta’s Drake London get past him.

The play effectively got the Falcons the lead as the game went into halftime, with Atlanta on top, 14-13. That defensive lapse from Gardner has now gotten him the ire of Colts fans, whose team was supposed to be the favorite to win.
“Sauce Gardner is one of the most overrated players in the league. So bad that they giving him fake stats talking bout “1 yard of separation during routes this season” ??” one fan pointed out.
“The Jets fleeced the Colts with that Sauce Gardner trade 😂,” another person joked.
“A pair of first round picks and Sauce Gardner still getting fried,” added another fan.
“sauce gardner traded for 2 first round picks just to get toasted,” noted another one.
“Sauce Gardner 100% completion percentage allowed when targeted as a colt💔,” an X user said.
“Traded for Sauce Gardner only to cover Drake London with a linebacker. Can’t make it up, man.” commented one person.
The reason why Gardner was getting roasted by fans was the fact that the Colts had to give up two first round picks to the Jets in exchange for him as the trade deadline ended. Gardner basically let Drake London get the better of him during the game, resulting in fans questioning if he was actually worth what Indiana had traded for him.
Sauce Gardner Looked Dominant Before Being Traded To The Indianapolis Colts
Despite the New York Jets struggling this season, corner back Sauce Gardner had been playing well for them, and this was one of the reasons the Colts traded two first round picks for him, as they needed another good defender, especially as the team is vying for a Super Bowl run.
For the season, he now has 20 tackles, 15 solo ones and five assists, including some crucial ones. Around 15 of those tackles cam from, his last five games alone, which means he had been stepping up for the Jets’ lagging defense.
He was supposed to fill in for Charvarius Ward, who is currently on the injured reserve after suffering a concussion. Many analysts considered Gardner as an upgrade on Ward.
