    Sauce Gardner Injury Update: What Happened to Jets CB After Early Exit in Week 13 vs. Texans?

    Sauce Gardner has been one of the best cornerbacks since being drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He earned two All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods in each of his first two seasons.

    Looking to upgrade at the cornerback position, the Indianapolis Colts made an aggressive move to acquire Gardner from the Jets. The Colts sent the Jets two first round picks as well as wide receiver Adonai Mitchell in exchange for the lockdown corner.

    Playing against the Houston Texans today, Gardner is playing in his third game as a member of the Colts. However, he left today’s game early.

    Sauce Gardner Injury Update

    Sauce Gardner left the first half of Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. Covering Texans tight end Cade Stover, Gardner appeared to have planted his left leg awkwardly, and he limped off the field following the play. He was down on the field for a few minutes.

    The Colts have listed Gardner questionable to return following the injury. Cameras caught Gardner heading to the locker room with assistance from trainers.

    The AFC South Features a Close Race Heading Into Week 13

    Heading into Week 13, the AFC South is heating up to be one of the most competitive divisions in football. The Indianapolis Colts lead the division at 8-3, but the Jacksonville Jaguars are right behind them at 7-4.

    The third place Houston Texans, who are currently facing the Colts, is just a game behind the Jaguars and two behind Indianapolis with a 6-5 record.

    Depending on the results from today’s game, next week’s game between the Colts and Jaguars, which is in Jacksonville, could determine who is in first place of the division. Jacksonville will still have two more divisional games, one against the Tennessee Titans and the Colts.

    Indianapolis will also have two more divisional games- one against the Jaguars and the Texans. Houston will have just one more divisional game after today, facing the Colts to conclude its regular season.
