New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson is a former star who has had a difficult past few years of his career. Since his departure from Seattle a few seasons ago, he has been unable to recapture what made him a star with the Seahawks. This season, he has been replaced as the starter of the New York Giants by rookie Jaxson Dart.
Dart has been the better performer this season, which even led to his former Denver coach, Sean Payton, saying he would prefer to play against Wilson than Dart. This led to a big reaction from Wilson initially. However, on Friday morning, Wilson posted a video on Instagram with a cryptic message.
“I’m heading into work right now, just thinking about life, thinking about obstacles and challenges and things in your way, and I just want to encourage you guys to keep going. I’m encouraging myself to keep going,” Russell Wilson said.
“Your best days are still ahead, and amidst the storm, we’re gonna get to the other side. So, I’m rooting for you today. I’m rooting for myself. I’m encouraging myself because God called me for something even greater. So, I’m looking forward to seeing what you do today. I’m looking forward to today for myself. Keep smiling. Let’s go.”

What is the Beef Between Russell Wilson and Sean Payton?
The New York Giants and Denver Broncos played last week in what turned out to be an exciting game. The Broncos made a huge comeback in the fourth quarter to narrowly escape with a win over the upstart Giants. Before the game, there was some drama because Sean Payton said that he was hoping to face his former QB, Russell Wilson rather than Jaxson Dart.
These comments got Wilson’s attention and he responded with a post on X calling out Payton.
“Classless… but not surprised…. Didn’t realize you’re still bounty hunting 15+ years later through the media.”

A few days later, Payton apologized, saying he did not mean to criticize Wilson.
