Rob Gronkowski‘s one-day contract with the New England Patriots is now over, and this allowed him to retire as a Patriot. Gronk himself did not suit up, as this was just a formality, which is the team’s way of honoring him. His long-time GF, Camille Kostek, was also present to show her support for her man, posting her experience with returning to Foxborough and celebrating her boyfriend’s career.

Camille Kostek used to be a cheerleader for the Patriots, and this was where she met Gronk. In her Instagram photo dump, she posed with the team’s current cheer squad while wearing a special Gronkowski-inspired jacket with his jersey number, 87. She also posed with the team’s six Super Bowl trophies and a few videos from that special night for her and her boyfriend.
During that one-day contract game, the Patriots took on the New York Jets at home. It did not look like they needed Rob Gronkowski there at all, as they dominated the struggling Jets, 27-14.
The night of the game was designated to honor Gronkowski, who won three of his four Super Bowl rings with the Patriots. Team owner Robert Kraft has admitted that they already had plans to formally retire him if he had been able to. During the signing of Gronk’s contract, the team executive was all praises.
“His clutch performances were legendary, and his larger than life personality and connections with the fans has truly made him a New England icon,” Kraft said.
New England Patriots Also Release An Inside Look Into Rob Gronkowski’s Retirement Ceremony
Meanwhile, the new England Patriots themselves honored Rob Gronkowski even further with the release of a behind-the-scenes video during his special retirement ceremony, which took place during the Patriots vs. Jets game last Sunday. Of course, Camille Kostek was there as well.
In one touching moment, Gronkowski met with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and talked a bit of how dominant they would have been if they played together. He also introduced him to his girlfriend, Camille.
This place couldn’t handle Gronk & Vrabel 🤣
